Events Report

Top Extole report used to pull the information associated with the participants in your programs

Updated over a week ago

Overview

The Events Report is one of Extole's most used reports for its flexibility to pull data about the events on your dashboard. If you are looking to get a list of all the referred conversions, accounts opened, or free trials started, this report will give you information on the person that completed that activity and their related person as well as other event specific data like source, partner user id, product type, and more.

How to Run this Report

  • Select Time Range: Choose the desired time frame for which the events happened, with options for predefined or custom time ranges.

  • Specify the program or campaign you want to report.

  • Choose the event: Select from the events associated with your programs dashboard, or other custom events.

  • Configure Advanced Options (optional): Tailor the report by selecting output formats, defining mappings, and rearranging the columns, and applying filters for more precise analysis (below).

Make sure to check out Visit Type and Quality guide to determine if you need to adjust either of these configurations on your report to get the desired output.

How to Rearrange and Rename Columns

The "Mappings" section, located in the Advanced menu, is where you'll specify your report column names, your values (i.e., the source of the data populating the rows), and your column order. To rename a column, simply replace the text in the first field. To reorder a column, use the up and down arrows.

Predefined Mappings

The list of predefined mappings, located below the list of mappings described above, is a great starting place for finding specific pieces of data from the event or person associated with the event to pull into the report.

Using the predefined mappings also means you don't need to know the syntax for any of the data attributes associated with the event or with the person. For example, you could use the predefined Event ID mapping without having to know that the value for the "event_id" key is "event.id". Once you've selected from the list of predefined mappings, you can reorder the columns by using the up and down arrows to the left of the key field for any of the predefined mappings.

Additional Settings and Filters

Also in the Advanced section, you can specify the file formats, delivery method, and other event-specific filters for the report.
