Pop-up Share Experiences Outperform Dedicated Landing Pages by 300%
A dedicated landing page with an in-page share experience, also known as a dedicated sharing page, is a great way to start driving referrals, but there's a better way for you to reach peak performance. A pop-up share experience that appears over an existing page will perform up to 300% better than a dedicated sharing page.
Our data shows that customers are 8% more likely to refer a friend from a pop-up share experience than from a dedicated sharing page. As an additional benefit, a pop-share experience allows your site content or products to peek out from under it, enticing your customers to linger and read more or buy after sharing.
For example, customers who click a "Give $20, Get $20" call-to-action (CTA) on your site are 300% more likely to share if that call-to-action produces a pop-up share experience over your site instead of sending those customers to a separate landing page. Even better, keeping customers on the same page after sharing encourages them to stay actively engaged with your site.
Make the leap from a dedicated sharing page to a pop-up share experience.
Quick Steps to Implementation
In order to serve the pop-up share experience over your site, Extole requires that our JavaScript library (Core.js) be implemented on your site. If you haven't already done so, please refer to our Technical Implementation Guide before proceeding. If you already have our JavaScript library implemented on your site, please contact your Client Services Manager to let them know that you would like to implement either or both of the following pop-up share experiences:
The customer clicks a call-to-action on your site and a pop-up share experience appears.
Requires the use of zone tags on your site. You'll need to work with your Client Services Manager to ensure you have the appropriate zone tags in place for where you'd like to launch this share experience.
The customer taps a promo link in one of your outbound promotions (e.g., email, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and is routed to the pop-up share experience over your site instead of a dedicated sharing page.
As long as the Extole JavaScript library (Core.js) is on your site, Extole can execute this implementation for you.
