Revenue Contribution Report

Updated over a month ago

Overview

The Revenue Contribution Report shows the amount of a client's revenue that Extole programs have contributed to in comparison to their total revenue.

Use Case

The most common step in a customer's journey used in this report is "transacted." Using transacted events as an example, here is what the report will give you:

The number of transactions we’re responsible for, how much money we’ve influenced from those transactions, the total number of transactions the client is passing us (both referral and non-referral), and the total revenue from those transactions.

Configuration

Again, the default step that we look at for this report is "transacted." The transacted step in a client's program may be a download, a booking, a purchase, or a registration—likely whichever event we reward.

Note: Both registrations and conversions are transacted events, so if you have both events in your program, you may want to change the step pulled in this report to "converted." If you're capturing email on the friend landing experience, please know that this is counted as a registration event.

What does the visualization show me?

This report visualization shows a line graph of percentages, giving us an easy visual of how much of a client's revenue we've contributed to and the direction that it's trending. The formula for the percentage is ((revenue ÷ total revenue) x 100). For a transacted step, for example, this reads as "how much money we’ve influenced from the transactions we’re responsible for" ÷ "the revenue from all transactions the client is passing us" x 100.
