Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I customize my Facebook share message?
Facebook specifically prohibits message pre-population of any kind for a user. The user must type the entire message themselves.
From the User Message Facebook Documentation: "Users must personally write these [share] messages. Even if users can control (edit or delete) the message content, your app cannot pre-fill user messages."
Can I customize the Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest/Social buttons and colors?
The short answer is maybe. Any social asset should be in-line with that company's brand resource guide. It is technically possible to adjust the color to fit with your own company's brand. It is upon your own team to interpret the branding rules for the social channel(s) you wish to adjust. If you deem it's within their rules, Extole can make the creative adjustments. Note that the social channel may be subject to suspension if Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. deem the adjustment to be outside of their brand usage rules.
