How Do I Prevent Ad Blockers from Blocking My Extole Experience

Updated over a month ago

Would you like to identify 11% more advocates and generate 11% more revenue from refer-a-friend? Extole has a new tag approach to unlock those gains by adjusting a few things to minimize loss from adblockers. The approach involves serving Extole tags from your branded domain rather than from an Extole domain. And, it's quite easy.

First, check if you have a branded domain by logging into Extole. In Settings, you will see a section called Domains. If you only see one domain pointing to extole.io, you do not have a branded domain. If this is the case, you may have already heard from your Client Success Manager about setting up a new branded domain. You can also reach out to [email protected] who will help you get set up.

If (or when) you have a branded domain, you will next need to ask your dev team to update the Extole core tags on your website to reference your branded domain in the following way: <script type=“text/javascript” src=“https://refer.clientname.com/core.js” async></script> where refer.clientname.com is your branded domain.
